This virtual Information Session will cover our Legacy Fund Outreach Process, which engages Survivors and families to give us input directly to help guide the implementation of the Legacy Fund and ensure it is responsive to the unique needs of Survivors. The Legacy Fund Information Session will outline different ways to provide feedback, including Digital Engagement and Regional Outreach Sessions. These opportunities for participation are specifically for Survivors and their families.

The Legacy Fund was created to support four primary areas: language & culture, healing & wellness, commemoration, and truth telling. Grants from the Legacy Fund will be made based upon proposals from not-for-profit organizations, community groups and others.

It is important to us that the voices of Survivors and their families remain central to the work of MDSSC, and they will be vital in informing the administration and implementation of the Legacy Fund, including grant application procedures.
